Ann Reynolds Jazztet - Jazz Center of Bellingham

The Ann Reynolds Jazztet came together in 2025 to explore Carla Bley's and Ann Reynolds' compositions. The current work follows up on the study and presentations that Ann Reynolds did on women composers in the past few years.  

$20 general admission; $10 students

Band members bring their experience in many jazz styles from straight-ahead, funk, Afro-Cuban, and free playing to this project. At times mellow and heart- melting sounds, at other times raucous high energy are heard from woodwinds Jessica Lurie (alto saxophone and flute) and Tobi Stone (tenor). A strong grounding comes from Geoff Harper on bass, and the most fascinating rhythms come from Chris Icasiano. Ann Reynolds' sensitive touch on piano and accessible compositions complete this picture. This band listens to and plays off each other beautifully.

Sunday brunch at Populus features piano trios every other week. On August 16, Ann Reynolds trio with Chris Icasiano on drums and Geoff Harper on bass will play from 10:30-1 PM. Ann Reynolds Jazz Quintet at Jazz Fellowship

The music of Carla Bley, Ann Reynolds, Tobi Stone, and Mary Lou Williams will be played by Ann Reynolds, Jessica Lurie, Tobi Stone, Geoff Harper and Chris Icasiano. We play in the wonderful Seattle Jazz Fellowship space in Pioneer Square. $20 for the event, or free for Fellowship members (it only costs $60 per year and you can go to all concerts for that membership. Best deal in town.

Ann Reynolds Trio presents the "Inspired by Women Composers" concert for the Manieri Foundation in Anacortes. The concert includes compositions by 4 great, innovative women composers (Mary Lou Williams, Carla Bley, Geri Allen, Christine Jensen) and 4 compositions (by Ann Reynolds) that were inspired by these women . The trio includes Ann Reynolds (piano), Kelsey Mines (bass) and Christopher Icaisiano (drums)
November 13 (2-4) for the Manieri Foundation series at Buxtons in Anacortes. Free and open to all.
